Junming DUAN (段俊明)

Dr. Junming DUAN will be joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) as a tenure-track assistant professor in January 2026. He received his B.Sc. (2016) and Ph.D. (2021) from Peking University, supervised by Prof. Huazhong Tang. After that he worked as a postdoc at EPFL with Prof. Jan S. Hesthaven, and then at the University of Würzburg with Prof. Christian Klingenberg. His research focuses on computational methods for fluid dynamics, particularly high-order numerical methods and efficient reduced-order modeling. Among other recognitions and awards, he was awarded with the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), and the Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdocs.
