Biography

Dr. Junming DUAN is currently a tenure-track assistant professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), joined in January 2026. He received his B.Sc. (2016) and Ph.D. (2021) degrees from Peking University, supervised by Prof. Huazhong Tang. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with Prof. Jan S. Hesthaven. From 2023 to 2025, he was a Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Würzburg, with Prof. Christian Klingenberg. His research focuses on computational methods for problems arising in fluid dynamics, primarily involving high-order accurate numerical methods for hyperbolic partial differential equations, and efficient reduced-order modeling for parametrized time-dependent problems. He is supported by the Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas). He has received several honors, including the Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdocs, and the First Prize in Outstanding Youth Paper Award from the Beijing Society of Computational Mathematics.

段俊明，香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院助理教授，博士生导师。 2016年和2021年分别于北京大学获得学士和博士学位， 师从汤华中教授。 随后分别于瑞士洛桑联邦理工学院（2021-2023）和德国维尔茨堡大学（2023-2025）开展博士后研究， 合作导师分别为Jan S. Hesthaven教授 和Christian Klingenberg教授。 主要研究方向为流体力学中的数值方法， 包括双曲守恒律方程组的高精度数值方法， 参数化时变问题的高效降阶建模等。 入选国家级青年人才项目（海外）， 曾获德国洪堡基金会博士后项目资助 和北京计算数学学会优秀青年论文一等奖等荣誉。
